On 3 October 2025, ICRISAT’s Patancheru campus welcomed a delegation of newly joined Probationary Agricultural Scientists hosted by ICAR – National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM). The visit was designed to inspire the next generation of scientists by providing deep insights into international agricultural research.
The program commenced with a comprehensive campus tour, showcasing ICRISAT’s advanced research facilities. This was followed by two high-level lectures; the first was delivered by the Director General, Dr Himanshu Pathak, who elaborated on ICRISAT’s core mission and the critical role of international agricultural research in achieving global food security.
The second session, led by Dr Ramesh Singh, Principal Scientist – Landscape Resource Conservation, focused on innovative approaches, specifically discussing the “Sustainable Landscape Approach for Transforming Agri-food Systems.”
